Coronavirus Updates

April 17, 2020

We miss you all so much! That being said, we know that all of you, your friends and your family members have been persevering through this unprecedented time brought on by this COVID-19 pandemic. Some of you have been working on the front lines to care for the sick, keep people safe, bring food to our tables, and keep our community moving forward. All of you have made sacrifices to keep as many people as possible healthy and safe. Some of us have endured the loss of loved ones or helped another endure the suffering of loss or sickness. Things will GET BETTER and, when they do, we will HAVE FUN AGAIN!

When the time is right, and our community opens again, we will be here for you for fun on the lanes, your favorite league, your child’s birthday party, your company party, your favorite games or pizza and to finish it all with a cold beer. It will look different when we start and we will do everything in our power to make it clean, to make it safe, and to make it FUN. To this point, we continue to keep our staff paid and ready to help, and we will do so as long as we can because our success for 60 years has been built on our bowlers and our wonderful staff. We are so grateful to our community of bowlers and we look forward to seeing all of you.

Until then, please take care of each other by washing your hands, practicing social distancing, thinking of those around you that you want to stay healthy and safe. Take this moment, to appreciate time with others at home with all of the people that make all of our lives better. Be safe Tampa Bay and see you all soon!

Thank you,

Anthony M. Perrone

To Our Valued Bowling Community,

In order to contribute to protecting our community from the possibility of spreading the dangerous coronavirus and COVID-19, Pin Chasers will close all locations at 5 PM on March 17th. Although we are not required to do so by the State of Florida’s proclamation regarding bars, nightclubs and restaurants, we feel it is very important to do all we can with the knowledge we have at this time to keep our community and our bowlers as healthy as possible. We will frequently evaluate where we are in the process and re-open when appropriate.

We have followed the guidance from our local, state, and federal governments from the very start to make the very best decisions we can to protect our staff and guests, and we will continue to do so. We will be paying all of our staff for the next two weeks to help them and their families adjust to this difficult period of time. It has been our pleasure and privilege to serve the Tampa Bay community for more than 60 years and we are looking forward to closing the COVID-19 chapter of our Pin Chasers history very soon. We will see you all on the lanes soon. Please stay tuned to our website, join our email list and visit our social media sites to stay up to date on when we will open again and other information. Learn more about the CDC’s guidelines for protecting yourself from the coronavirus. STAY SAFE TAMPA BAY!

Sincerely,

Anthony M. Perrone

To Our Bowlers and League Community,

As we diligently work with local, state and federal guidelines to keep all of our guests and staff safe, we will continually update our policy for operations. The City of Tampa, the CDC, and the state of Florida has requested that all restaurant and bars or other hospitality business not have more than 50 person groups at any given time and to practice social distancing protocols during operations.

Effective Immediately: all scheduled league competition is postponed for the foreseeable future. Some leagues may continue the schedule when the COVID-19 crisis has passed, and others may simply start their next season. Pin Chasers will make those decisions on a league by league basis in conjunction with league leadership. League bowling fees will not be due during those weeks affected. League payments will resume when the league resumes play. In the case of a shortened season, prize lists will be amended in accordance with USBC guidelines. We appreciate our league community’s cooperation as we navigate this unprecedented circumstance.

Effective Immediately: all Pin Chasers locations will operate at half capacity and utilize only half of the lanes to help guests maintain suggested distance between themselves and others in the bowling centers. These changes to operations combined with stringent disinfecting practices instituted last week exceed requests by our local, state and federal for hospitality businesses.

As mentioned in previous advisories for our staff and guests, this is a fluid situation and subject to change daily. We will keep all of you up to date with any changes to our policies or practices during this time. Thank you for your support over our 60+ years, and, as always, it is our privilege and pleasure to offer bowling, food, and fun to our community. We can’t wait to get back to our normal operations for you all. If you have any questions, please call 813-871-2695 (BOWL).

Sincerely,

Anthony M. Perrone

To Our Bowling Community, Family, Friends and Staff,

With growing concern and increased planning from our local, state, and federal governments, I feel it necessary and vital to share our company’s plans in regard to the Coronavirus. First and foremost, COVID-19 is a potentially dangerous respiratory disease and our bowlers and staff take the threat it poses very seriously. We encourage both staff and guests who feel sick, or have been exposed to those who are sick, to stay home and enjoy fun on the lanes another time.

Pin Chasers will follow the guidelines and practices set forth by the CDC for the hospitality industry relating to cleaning, disinfecting and making our environment safe for all guests and staff. Every hard surface will be cleaned with a disinfecting solution after every use. We will be extra diligent in disinfecting bowling balls, shoes and all other hard surfaces after every use that our guests and staff use during a typical visit for fun on the lanes, or to enjoy food and beverage. We will also have hand sanitizer at all counters and request that all guests use it. There will be anti-microbial wipes and soap in use throughout the bowling centers to further keep the centers as contagion-free as possible. Hand washing is the most important part of the safety protocol and we will insist all staff wash their hands above and beyond what is required for the hospitality industry. Our intent is to continue to operate and offer a fun, safe environment for families and friends to enjoy themselves, especially at a time with so much heightened concern for our community’s safety. The need to smile and be together, safely, is as important as ever, to everyone, and we will be there for you.

This is a very fluid, rapidly changing situation and Pin Chasers will follow the orders and direction from our local, state and federal government at all times, as should our bowlers, family and friends. If at any time, the need arises to change our procedures we will do so and let everyone know so our guests and staff can plan accordingly. We want everyone, guests and staff, to be SAFE, HAVE FUN, and PROTECT OTHERS with our actions. We will do what the experts instruct us to do to keep our staff and guests as safe as possible through this time. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us at 813-871-2695.

Thank you,
