Bowling for Beginners: It’s Easier Than you Think

We understand that not everyone is a bowling expert. Beginners, we’ve got you covered.

Ramps allow everyone to participate

The ramps were originally used for wheelchairs and handicapped individuals but have also been adapted for children ages five and under.  The ramps are used to encourage anyone — regardless of any physical limitations — that they are capable and welcome to bowl in our lanes whenever they please.

These animal-shaped ramps provide a way for kids to set the ball up for success. Just think how excited they’ll be when they bowl their first strike! This equipment is easy to move and is great for young bowlers and those who may need some assistance.

Bumpers: it’s like cheating, but who cares?

Just like learning to ride a bike, you start off with training wheels. Eventually, you learn to balance until you don’t need them anymore.

With bowling, bumpers serve as a helpful tool for beginners who are just starting out. Your kids may be smoking you, but it’s okay to let them bask in the glory that comes along with achieving a high bowling score!

When the gutters are eliminated from the game, every throw has a chance to knock down a few (if not all!) pins. No more crying over another gutter ball. No more quitting the game before they have the strength to actually give it a real chance. Adding bumpers to your game of bowling makes the sport accessible to many people who previously hated it or never tried it.

Get a move on

This summer, join the fun and bring your friends — or join a family league! Our Summer Kids Cards are now available and give your child the chance to perfect their bowling skills and show off to their friends. So don’t worry if you need a little help getting started. That’s why we’re here!
